I've been taking two sets of field placements this semester. The one for this class is with [grades 7 and 8], and then I'm observing [community quilting classes] at a local fabric store. One day, I was scheduled in the middle school and then the quilt class immediately following.
The participant's projects in the two dynamically different educational settings were unbelievably similar.

These are images that I took myself.
The [middle school] had started a mandala project designing semicircle sketches with abstract shapes, then holding two mirrors up to the edges in order to see what it will look like in full circle.

These are also images that I took myself.
The [quilt class] was utilizing the stacknwhack technique, in which a similar r a d i a l design is achieved for the quilt blocks. The community participants were also using angled mirrors to predict and plan their designs. Fancy that!
